Abbeydale Christian Fellowship (Calgary, Alberta, Canada)

1352 Abbeydale Dr. SE, Calgary, AB, T2A 7L8. (403) 273-6222. Located near the eastern approach of the Trans- Highway. Pastor Charles Koop served in 1995 as a salaried congregational leader. (Pastors have been salaried since 1972.) In 1975 there were 16 members; in 1985, 87; in 1995, 152. The congregation has been affiliated with the Evangelical Mennonite Conference since 1974. The language of worship is English.

The congregation began services in 1971, and formally organized in 1974. The first building was occupied in 1988. Abe Giesbrecht and Dave Dueck are considered the founding leaders of the group. The congregation originated through outreach by the Evangelical Mennonite Conference.

The congregation was known as Forest Lawn Evangelical Mennonite Church and Forest Grove Evangelical Mennonite Church until 1988. The group originally met in the Forest Lawn School.
