Alf, Gottfried F. (1831-1898)
Gottfried F. Alf, a Baptist preacher and evangelist in Adamov near Warsaw in Russian Poland, tried to bring about a union of the Baptists and the Mennonites at that place. After he had baptized a small number of Mennonites the movement failed, for he rejected feetwashing and nonresistance.
