Anolaima (Cundinamarca, Colombia)

Anolaima is an evangelistic and educational center of the General Conference Mennonite Mission of Colombia, located about three miles (five km) from Cachipay and about fifty from Bogota. In June 1948 Alice Bachert began evangelistic and social work in this center and soon had gathered around her a loyal group of believers. In January 1949 a day school was begun with the help of a trained teacher and as a result of this educational program as well as much evangelistic work the first group of five believers was able to be baptized on 26 June 1949.
