Barbelken Goethals (d. 1570)
Barbelken Goethals, an Anabaptist martyr, was arrested on a charge of heresy and kept in prison in the monastery of Sint-Pieters in a suburb of Ghent, Belgium. She was burned at the stake in this region, together with Saerken (van) Duerhoven, on 22 November (Martyrs Mirror, 21 November), 1570.
