Bethel Home is a home for the aged, an institution of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonites located at 300 South Aztec, Montezuma, Gray County, Kansas. The building, first constructed in 1948, was a modern two-story brick structure 36 x 48, with two wings 36 x 38 each, built over a full basement. It had a chapel, 25 resident rooms, 4 maternity wards, an office, a waiting room, several soundproof rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, dining-room, laundry, and several other storage rooms. The institution operated on a nonprofit basis. Its initial cost was estimated at $70,000. It is sponsored by the congregations in the United States and built under the direction of the Charitable Institutions Board whose executive officers in 1950 were G. H. Dyck, Hesston, Kansas, chairman; Sam Dirks, Montezuma, Kansas, treasurer; and Jacob Wadel, Greensburg, Kansas, secretary.
