Bovenkarspel (Noord-Holland, Netherlands)
Bovenkarspel, Dutch province of North Holland, was once the seat of a Mennonite congregation. As appears from the Naamlijst of 1731, the congregation was still in existence at that date, but by 1743 it had died out. At this place Leenaert Bouwens baptized six persons between 1551 and 1554. Nothing more is known about this congregation.
