Brielsche Landt, Het
In the Handelinge van de Vereenigde Vlaemsche en Duytsche Gemeenlens (Transactions of the United Flemish and German Congregations) of 1649, a meeting of these groups having been held at Haarlem, Dutch province of North Holland in that year, a congregation by the name, Het Brielsche Landt, occurs. The congregation was not represented and during this period of time had no minister. It is not quite clear which congregation is meant. It could be Brielle, but also a combination of small congregations in the neighborhood of Brielle, the members of which lived in the villages of Geervliet, Heenvliet, Spijkenisse. and Zuidland, all on the island of Voorne-Putten which is located in the Dutch province of South Holland, and all indicated under these separate names at a meeting of the Flemish at Leiden in 1660.
