Brooks Mennonite Brethren Church (Brooks, Alberta, Canada)
The Brooks Mennonite Brethren congregation began services in 1981, and was chartered with 13 members. John Wiebe and Sylvester Dirks are considered the founding leaders of the group. The congregation originated through outreach by the Canadian Conference and by interested individuals. In 1984 there were 10 members. The congregation dissolved in 1984. It had been affiliated with the Alberta Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches, Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches and General Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches. The language of worship was English. Pastor Sylvester Dirks served as the congregational leader throughout its existence.
