Charleswood Mennonite Church (Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada)

699 Haney St., Winnipeg, MB, R3R 0Y7. (204) 837-7982. Minister John P. Braun served in 2001 as a salaried congregational leader. (Pastors have been salaried since 1965.) In 1965 there were 45 members; in 1975, 171; in 1985, 198; in 1995, 169; in 2000, 228. The congregation has been affiliated with the Conference of Mennonites in Manitoba / Mennonite Church Manitoba (1964-), Conference of Mennonites in Canada / Mennonite Church Canada (1964-), and General Conference Mennonite Church (1965-1999). The language of worship is English.

The congregation began services and formally organized in 1963. The first building was occupied in 1965. Cornie Rempel is considered the founding leader of the group. The congregation originated through church planting from Bethel Mennonite Church due to the latter's size.
