Clearwater Mennonite Church (Reist, Alberta, Canada)

Reist Post Office, Reist, AB. Located near Youngstown. In 1924 there were 15 members. The congregation dissolved in 1924. It had been affiliated with the Alberta-Saskatchewan Mennonite Conference and the Mennonite Church. The language of worship was English.

The congregation began services in 1910, and formally organized in 1912. Bishop Norman B. Stauffer is considered the founding leader of the group. The congregation originated through immigration from the United States.

Drought and poor crops in the area caused most of the members to move to the Tofield area, resulting in the dissolution of the congregation. Ministers who served this community included Isaac Miller, M. H. Schmitt and Abe Reist.
