Dalmeny Community Church (Dalmeny, Saskatchewan, Canada)

Box 70, 121 4th St., Dalmeny, SK, S0K 1E0. (306) 254-4257. Located on Railroad Ave. Pastor Gary Sawatzky served in 2000 as a congregational leader. 1900 there were 39 members; 1950, 246; in 1965, 165; in 1975, 182; in 1985, 148; in 1993, 152; in 2000, 122. The congregation has been affiliated with the Saskatchewan Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches (1901-), Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches (1901-) and General Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches (1901-). The language of worship is English; the transition from German occurred in 1950.

The congregation  formally organized on February 28, 1902 with 15 persons present. The first building was occupied in 1902, with subsequent building programs in 1907, 1945, and 1968. Abram Buhler is considered the founding leader of the group. The congregation originated through immigration from the United States.

The congregation was known as Ebenezer Mennonite Brethren until the early 1980s. Its name was changed to Dalmeny Community Church in 1986.

Leaders prior to 1950 included Jacob Lepp (served 1907-1941) and Henry Baerg.
