Denlinger, Mary S. (1867-1958)

Mary S. Denlinger was a Mennonite Church (MC) missionary in Chicago and Philadelphia for a total of 30 years. She was born 3 December 1867 to John B. and Elizabeth Shaub Denlinger in Black Horse, Pennsylvania, and was converted at Mendon, Missouri, USA), under the preaching of John S. Coffman. From 1894 to 1899 she was a missionary at the Gospel Mission (MC) in Chicago. There she served with Lina Zook (Ressler) and Melinda Ebersole doing visitation, helping with cottage prayer meetings, teaching Sunday school, and working in the medical dispensary. From 1899 to 1924 she served as city missionary for the new Norris Square Mission in Philadelphia. She died in Soudersburg, Pennsylvania on 22 January 1958.
