Eglise Chretienne Evangelique (New Richmond, Que.)

C.P. 532, 111, 5e rue, New Richmond, Quebec, Canada), G0B 2B0. (418) 392-6378. Located 1/2 km south of Hwy. 132, beside Sport Center. Moderator Denise Bourdages served in 2000 as a congregational leader. In 1985 there were 10 members; in 1995, 19; in 2000, 10. The congregation has been affiliated with the Association québécoise des Frères mennonites du Québec, the Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches (1983-) and the General Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches. The language of worship is French.

Église Chrétienne Évangelique began services in 1981, and formally organized in 1984. The first building was occupied in 1983. Denis and Lyne Tremblay are considered the founding leaders of the group. The congregation originated through outreach by the Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches in Quebec.
