Eglise des Freres Mennonites St. Laurent (St. Laurent, Que.)
The Église des Frères Mennonites St-Laurent began services in 1967, and formally organized in 1969. The first building was occupied in 1974, with a subsequent building program in 1984. Ernest and Lydia Dyck are considered the founding leaders of the group. The congregation originated through outreach by the Mennonite Brethren Inland Mission.
In 1985 there were 100 members; in 1995, 112; in 2000, 112. The congregation has been affiliated with the Association québécoise des Frères mennonites du Québec (1969-), the Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches (1969-) and the General Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches (1969-). The language of worship is French.
Église des Frères Mennonites St-Laurent was the first French-speaking Mennonite Brethren church in Montreal. It shares facilities with the Institut Biblique Laval.
In 1992 the congregation merged with Perseverance Christian Assembly.
The congregation's address is 1775, boul. Édouard-Laurin, St-Laurent, Quebec, Canada), H4L 2B9. (514) 333-8436. Pastor Claude Quéval served in 2000 as a congregational leader.
