Elim Church (Cross Lake, Manitoba, Canada)

Cross Lake, MB, R0G 0J0. (204) 676-2394. Herman McKay served in 1998 as a congregational leader. The congregation has been affiliated with, but is not a member of, the Conference of Mennonites in Canada / Mennonite Church Canada. The languages of worship are English and Ojibway.

The congregation began services in 1956. The first building was occupied in 1957. Otto Hamm and Margaret Hamm are considered the founding leaders of the group. The congregation originated through outreach by Mennonite Pioneer Mission.

The group has also been known as Cross Lake Mission and Elim Chapel. Jeremiah Ross was a long-time leader at Cross Lake, serving as pastor from 1968-98.
