Heart Valley Church of God in Christ, Mennonite (Wanham, Alberta, Canada)
Wanham, AB, T0H 3P0. (403) 694-2509. Located thirteen miles south on Secondary No. 733. Minister Roy Toews served in 2001 as a non-salaried congregation leader. In 1985 there were 62 members; in 2000, 66. The congregation has been affiliated with the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. The language of worship is German.
The congregation began services in 1959, and formally organized in 1963. The first building was occupied in 1963. Pete Thiessen is considered the founding leader of the group. The congregation originated through colonzation by the Crooked Creek congregation.
The congregation operates Heart Valley Christian School.
