Jansen Group (Jansen, Saskatchewan, Canada)
Jansen, SK. Located 10 to 15 miles north of Jansen. The congregation dissolved about 1965. It had been affiliated with the Conference of Mennonites in Canada (1934-1965). The language of worship was German.
The congregation began services in 1925, and formally organized in 1927. Klaas Janzen, Johann Thiessen and J. Riesen are considered the founding leaders of the group. The congregation originated through immigration from the Soviet Union and the United States. The congregation dissolved as the local population moved away.
