Joest Jacops (16th century)
Joest Jacops (Jacopssoen) was the author of some hymns of the Dutch Mennonite hymnary Het Tweede Liedeboeck of 1583, viz., "Jubileert met vreuchden te samen" (Jubilate with joy all together), "Ick ben seer bedroeft int herte mijn" (I am much afflicted in my heart), and perhaps also of "In druck lijden en groot torment" (In distress, suffering, and great oppression). No further information about him was available.
