Kennedy Heights Mennonite Brethren (Delta, British Columbia, Canada)
11838-88th Ave., Delta, BC, V4C 3C5. (604) 596-8178. Pastor Warren Schmidt served in 2002 as a congregational leader. In 1950 there were 94 members; in 1965, 142; in 1975, 171; in 1985, 175; in 1995, 147; in 2000, 138.. The congregation has been affiliated with the British Columbia Conference of the Mennonite Brethren Churches (1945-), Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches (1945-) and General Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches (1945-). The language of worship is English; the transition from English occurred in the 1960s.
The congregation began services in 1944, and formally organized in 1945. The first building was occupied in 1945, with a subsequent building program in 1970. The congregation originated through colonization from Vancouver and the Fraser Valley of B.C.
The congregation was originally known as the Strawberry Hill Mennonite Brethren Church.
