Kerbert family

Kerbert is a Mennonite family, formerly found at Koog aan de Zaan, Dutch province of North Holland. Jan Kerbert, born 1820 at Koog, died 11 April 1890 at Arnhem, studied at the Mennonite seminary at Amsterdam and thereupon served as Mennonite pastor at Rottevalle 1845-1846, Hoorn 1846-1867, and Zwolle 1867-1884, retiring in 1884. Coenraad Kerbert (Koog, 1816-1857), a physician in his home town, was a noted botanist.
