Killarney Park Mennonite Brethren Church (Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada)
6426 Kerr St., Vancouver, BC, V5S 3C1. (604) 437-9638. Located on Kerr St. at 48th Ave. Pastor Ken Peters served in 2000 as a congregational leader. In 1965 there were 288 members; in 1975, 332; in 1985, 270; in 1995, 145; in 2000, 141. The congregation has been affiliated with the British Columbia Conference of the Mennonite Brethren Churches (1961-), the Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches (1961-) and the General Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches (1961-). The language of worship is English.
The congregation began services and formally organized in 1961. The first building was occupied in 1961. Herbert J. Brandt is considered the founding leader of the group. The congregation originated through church planting from Fraserview Mennonite Brethren due to the latter's size.
