The congregation has been affiliated with the British Columbia Conference of the Mennonite Brethren Churches (1978-), Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches (1978-) and General Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches (1978-). The language of worship is German and English; the transition from German occurred in 1982.
The congregation began services and formally organized in 1966. The first building was occupied in 1967 with a subsequent building program in 1982.
The congregation originated through division from South Abbotsford Mennonite Brethren Church over use of language in worship. The influx of immigrants from South America produced a need for a German-language congregation. In 1982 the church moved to half-German, half-English services.
