Klaus, Alexander (19th century)
Alexander (Aleksandr) Klaus, a Russian of German extraction, published a book in 1889 in Russian with the title Nashi Kolonii (Our Colonies), which will always be important for the history of foreign colonies in Russia. To the Hutterites and Mennonites he devoted 128 pages. In 1887 the Odessaer Zeitung published a German translation of the book, done by its editor, Jakob Toews, under the title Unsere Kolonien.
