Lydens-Geschiedenisse van den Zaligmaker, De
De Lydens-Geschiedenisse van den Zaligmaker, is a book, particularly for young people, in the Dutch language by an anonymous author. It deals with Christian martyrs, describing their lives and sufferings. It contains many Mennonite martyrs both Dutch and Swiss. The book is of no special value for Mennonite history. The 51 pictures found in it were taken from J. B. (Bout),’t Merg van de Historien der Martelaren. There are three known editions, all rather rare: Amsterdam 1778, Haarlem 1791, and Rotterdam 1820.
