Lyntgen van Dale (d. 1562)

Lyntgen (Linken) van Dale, wife of Jan van Lyers, an Anabaptist martyr, was drowned at the Steen castle at Antwerp, Belgium on 13 November 1562 (not 15 August 1561, as Martyrs Mirror says; see Bastiaen), with some other Anabaptist martyrs. They are celebrated in a hymn "Lieve breeders, ick groet u met sanghen” (Dear brethren, I greet you with hymns), found in the Nieu Liedenboeck of 1562. The hymn is included in Wackernagel, Lieder.
