McBride Mennonite Church (McBride, British Columbia, Canada)
Box 459, McBride, BC, V0J 2E0. (250) 569-2780. Located 1 1/2 km east, 3 km west on Mt. View Rd. Bishop Clarence Miller served in 2001 as a non-salaried congregational leader. In 1965 there were 31 members; in 1975, 50; in 1985, 63; in 1995, 61; in 2000, 57. The congregation has been affiliated with the National Fellowship Churches since 1978. The language of worship is English.
The congregation began services in 1960, and formally organized in 1962. The first building was occupied in 1962. Mervin J. Baer is considered the founding leader of the group. The congregation originated through colonization of northern B.C. from the United States.
The group was formerly part of the Upper Fraser Mennonite Fellowship.
