Müller, Jakob (1753-1827)
Jakob Müller (1753-1827), born at Ibersheim, South Germany, was the first elder of the Mennonite Church at Einsiedel, Galicia, and an outstanding pioneer leader of that settlement. A number of his letters written to relatives in the Palatinate, which were printed by Bachmann, contain valuable information about the early Mennonite settlement in Galicia. He died 11 September 1827, having served the congregation for 43 years.
