Oostende (West-Vlaanderen, Belgium)

Oostende (Ostende), a seacoast town in West Flanders, Belgium (coordinates: 51° 14′ 0″ N, 2° 55′ 0″ E), was a Mennonite center; there may have been a congregation here in the 16th century; there is, however, no information about it. Claes Leks and Lucas de Groot, both natives of Oostende, were executed there as martyrs in 1548 and 1568.
