Osborne County, Kansas, the location of a Mennonite church (Mennonite Church), organized before 1880 under Bishop Abraham Newschwanger (Hartzler and Kauffman, Mennonite Church History). In 1893 R. J. Heatwole reported 14 members, many of them Canadians. Through crop failures and dissension the church died out, probably in the early 20th century.
