The Peace Mennonite Fellowship in Grand Prairie, AB began services in 1973. Paul and Nancy Showalter are considered the founding leaders of the group. The congregation originated through outreach by U.S. immigrants.

The congregation was previously known as Grande Prairie Mennonite Church, and in 1992 as Family Worship Centre.

In 1975 there were 5 members; in 1985, 9; in 1992, 28. The congregation was not affiliated with Mennonites by 1993. It had been affiliated with the Northwest Mennonite Conference (1973-1992) and the Mennonite Church. The language of worship was English.

The congregational met at 9324-108 Ave., Grande Prairie. Minister Ronald C. Wiseman served in 1992 as a congregational leader.
