Santa Rita Colony (Bolivia)
Santa Rita Colony in Bolivia is also referred to as Paurito, and is located 35 km (20 miles) southeast of Santa Cruz, 6 km south of the town of Pauritos. The colony was established in 1967 by a group of Old Colony Mennonites from Mexico with minister Ben Penner as their spiritual leader. It had 482 baptized members and a total population of 1,505 in 1986.
