Schominger, Wolf (d. 1527)
Wolf Schominger, also called Wolf Schreiner, a carpenter by trade, an Anabaptist martyr of Königsberg in Lower Franconia, beheaded in March 1527 with several others. His home was the center of the local Anabaptist congregation. In January 1527, when the preachers Eukarius Kellermann (brother-in-law of Schominger) and Kilian Volkaimer, of Grosswalbur, again appeared in the region of Königsberg their meetings came to the attention of the authorities. In February 1527 seven Anabaptists were arrested—the miller of Aurach, Kaspar Spiegel, Beutelhans, Hans Furster (the brother-in-law of Beutelhans), Wolf Schominger, and two others.
