Surrey Mennonite Church (Surrey, British Columbia, Canada)
The Surrey Mennonite congregation in Surrey, BC began services in 1992. Anna Dyck is considered the founding leader of the group, and George and Martha Janzen began serving as pastoral couple in 1992. The congregation originated through outreach by the Conference of Mennonites in British Columbia to the Japanese community. The language of worship is English and Japanese. Peter and Mary Derksen, missionaries in Japan for many years, returned to Canada in 2000 and served alongside the Janzens until 2008.
