Töws, Johann (19th century)
Johann Töws: ordained minister (1832) and elder (1853) in Prussia, joined the immigrants who established the Köppental-Orloff (Am Trakt) settlement, Samara, Russia. Since the settlement had an elder in Johann Wall, he functioned as an honorary co-elder. He visited the Mennonites of the Molotschna settlement in the Ukraine repeatedly and advocated the founding of the General Mennonite Conference.
