Tweede Liedeboeck, Het

Het Tweede Liedeboeck, van vele diversche Liedekens ghemaeckt wt den ouden ende nieuwen Testamente. Waer af sommighe eertijts in Druck zijn wtghegaen ende sommige noyt in Druck gheweest hebbende daer by ghevoecht, Tot Amsterdam. By Nicolaes Biestkens van Diest . . . Anno 1583, a Dutch Mennonite hymnbook, is an enlarged edition of the Nieu Liedenboeck of 1562. Whereas the Nieu Liedenboeck contained 257 hymns, this Tweede Liedeboeck has 294, all without notes. It was called Tweede (i.e., second) Liedeboeck because it was meant as a sequel and appendix to the hymnal Veelderhande Liedekens of 1582.
