Westwood Mennonite Brethren Church (Prince George, British Columbia, Canada)

Through an outreach of the British Columbia (BC) Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches, Westwood Mennonite Brethren Church, then known as Peden Hill Mennonite Brethren Church, had its inception on 25 September 1960 when it held its first worship service in the Peden Hill area of Prince George, BC.  The founder of the congregation is considered to be John Esau.  The church formally organized under the auspices of the provincial and national Mennonite Brethren conferences in 1961, which is also the year the congregation met in its own building for the first time.

In 1974, the church relocated to the Westwood area of Prince George, in the process constructing new facilities, and subsequently changed its name to Westwood Mennonite Brethren Church in 1976.  A new building was also erected in the same location in 1991.
