Ysbrant Scheerjer (d. 1549)
Ysbrant Scheerjer, an Anabaptist martyr, was burned at the stake at Leeuwarden, Netherlands, on 16 November 1549. He had held religious meetings in his house, and there "read from the Bible and the New Testament." Persisting in his "errors" he was sentenced to death.
