Zijbrandt Claesz (d. 1535)

Zijbrandt Claesz, an Anabaptist executed at Amsterdam, Holland, on 14 May 1535. Zijbrandt, a blacksmith of Alkmaar, a follower of Jan van Geelen, had participated in the siege of the Amsterdam town hall on 10-11 May 1535. He was put to death in a brutally cruel manner.
