Donnellson (Iowa, USA)
Donnellson is located in Lee County, Iowa, in the southeastern corner of the state. The early Mennonites of this county came from Bavaria, Germany, during the mid-19th century. In the 1950s there were approximately 85 Mennonite families in this locality, most of them living north and northwest of Donnellson, and 25 living in the town. The Zion Mennonite Church (Mennonite Church USA) of Donnellson, founded in 1851, is the only Mennonite church now located in Lee County. In 2008 it had a membership of 125.
