Fairview Mennonite Church (Mennonite Church (MC)), a rural congregation near Minot, Ward County, North Dakota. A group of 22 members organized a congregation, having ordained I. S. Mast, one of their number, to the ministry in March 1903 in the Kishacoquillas Valley of Pennsylvania. They arrived in Surrey, North Dakota on 2 April 1903, built the church, and dedicated it on Thanksgiving Day of 1905. In 1908 the first church conference was held and I. S. Mast was ordained bishop. In 1911, 12 members withdrew and joined the Nazarenes. In 1914 L. S. Glick was ordained a minister and served until 1930. The congregation had sponsored two mission Sunday schools by the 1950s. L. A. Kauffman served as pastor 1930-1945. In 1931 R. E. Myers was ordained deacon and served until 1939. In 1942 Floyd Kauffman was ordained minister and S. K. Zook deacon; both were still serving the congregation in 1955. In 1944 Floyd Kauffman was ordained bishop. The congregation had besides the regular meetings a quarterly Sunday-school meeting, and a summer Bible school. The membership in 1955 was 52.
