Froschauer, Simprecht (d. ca. 1536)
Simprecht Froschauer (d. ca. 1536), a younger half brother of Christoph, in whose Zürich print shop he worked, joined the Anabaptists and followed Hubmaier to Nikolsburg, where he became Hubmaier's printer from July 1526 to early 1528. Eighteen Hubmaier prints are known to have come from his press, signed "Simprecht Sorg genant Froschauer." Upon Hubmaier's arrest and execution in 1528 Simprecht fled to Liegnitz in Silesia, where he printed some Schwenckfeld booklets.
