Gateway Community Church (Port Alberni, British Columbia, Canada)
Gateway Community Church emerged as a result of weekly Bible studies started in October of 2005 and through the support of the British Columbia Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches, which it joined on 29 April 2006. Their first service was held on Christmas Eve, 2005. Paul Wicki has been the pastor of the church since its inception.
After searching for a suitable building of their own, the congregation purchased a former Ukrainian Catholic Church on 15 October 2006. The vision statement of Gateway is: “Helping people transform into Jesus worshipers.”
