Gielt Eelckezoon (d. 1555)

Gielt Eelckezoon, an Anabaptist martyr, burned at the stake at Leeuwarden, Dutch province of Friesland, on 5 March 1555. He had been rebaptized and sharply denounced the Catholic doctrines, saying that all that goes on "in the Catholic Church is idolatry."
