Grietgen Jans (d. 1569)

Grietgen Jans, an Anabaptist martyr, was the wife of Adriaen Heynsius, a weaver of Zwartewaal, Dutch province of South Holland. She was burned at the stake at Brielle (same province) on 25 July 1569, together with Maerten Pieters. She was found guilty of heresy, "having united with those called Mennists" and having been rebaptized.
