Heppenheim im Loch was a village near Alzey, Rhenish Hesse, Germany, in which Swiss emigrants settled as early as 1664. The Mennonite lists of the Karlsruhe Generallandesarchiv name the Martin Weber family here in 1664, Matthias Dahlem in 1685, and four Weber families and Heinrich Landes in 1738. In 1742 the Johann Rupp family was added, and in 1768 Jakob Hahn. In 1929 two Biehn families were living here, members of the Monsheim congregation, whereas those living here earlier were members of the Oberflörsheim congregation.
