Homma, Wilhelm Jacobs (d. 1705)

Wilhelm Jacobs Homma was a preacher of the "Lam en Toren" Mennonite congregation at Amsterdam in 1681-l705; particulars about this man were not available. Long's assertion that Homma translated the New Testament from the Greek into the Dutch language has been proved to be an error. Homma was the editor of two translations from the Greek into the Dutch, of A. Boreel's translation of Matthew and Romans (Amsterdam, 1693) and of R. Rooleeuw's translation of the New Testament (Amsterdam, 1694).
