Georg H. Horn (1620-1670) was a German historian, professor of history at the University of Leiden in Holland, the author of the book, Historia ecclesiastica et politica (Leipzig, 1677, new revised edition, Frankfurt, 1679), a book of 442 pages dedicated to Karl Ludwig, the Palatine elector. In compressed form it deals with the history of the church from the creation of the world to the 17th century. The author's statements about the Anabaptists, whom he derives from Thomas Müntzer, do not differ from the contemporary and traditional presentation. The book is of no historical importance. What he has to say about the Anabaptists in England is more extensive and is more deserving of consideration, even though he offers little that is new even here.
