Janssen, Dirk (d. 1750)
Dirk Janssen, after 1719 a Mennonite elder of the Old Flemish congregation (called Klerkschen or Huiskopers) at Danzig, West Prussia, a brother of Elder Anthony Janssen (d. 1725), who in 1725, after the death of the Dutch Elder Adriaan van Gammeren, at the request of the Danzig Old Flemish congregations of Amsterdam and Rotterdam, moved with his family from Danzig to Amsterdam, where he served as an elder September 1725-1 November 1733. Then he returned to Danzig, serving there until his death in 1750.
