Knollys Society, Hanserd, named after an English Baptist leader by that name who lived 1599?-1691, was organized in 1845 in London for the reprinting of early Baptist writings and the publication of original records. It dissolved after issuing ten volumes, two of which were an English translation of pp. 1-371 of the second part of the 1685 Dutch edition of van Braght's Martyrs' Mirror, edited by Edward Bean Underhill. The issue bore the title, A Martyrology of the Churches of Christ, Commonly Called Baptist, during the Era of the Reformation (London, printed for the Society by J. Haddon, 1850, 1853).
