Las, Virgile de (17th century)

Virgile de Las translated some Dutch Mennonite writings into the French language: Theodore Philippe (i.e., Dirk Philips Enchiridion ou Manuel de la Religion Chretienne (n.p. 1626). This work also contains a translation of Menno Simons' Van de nieue creature and some letters and confessions by the martyrs Jaques d'Auchy, Thys Joriaensz, Hans Alewijnsz, and Jacob de Rore. Las was a native of Lyon, France, and probably a Protestant clergyman.
